At MeerMago we respect your privacy and ensure safe processing of your personal data. Below you will read which data we collect, why, how we use it and how you can control it.

We collect personal data such as your name, email address, phone number and information about your interactions with our services (for example during registration, purchases or contact with us). In addition, we process customer reviews and feedback, where platforms such as Google and Trustpilot usually hide the email addresses of reviewers. 2. Purposes of data processing
We use your data for the following purposes:
- Providing our services.
- Providing customer service and answering your questions.
- Informing you about new products, services and offers (if you have given permission for this).
- Improving our services and your user experience.
We process your data only on a valid legal basis, such as your consent, performance of a contract or a legal obligation.
3. Data processing by third parties
In some cases, we use external parties (such as cloud services or marketing tools) to provide our services. These parties process your data exclusively on our behalf and comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We ensure appropriate contractual agreements to ensure the privacy and security of your data.
We use Crisp for live chat. When you open the chat, Crisp processes technical information such as your IP address and the content and contact details you share in the conversation. Crisp uses functional cookies with the prefix crisp-client/ to run and retrieve your chat session. Total Privacy is enabled: if you do not open the chat, Crisp does not create a chat session or set a chat cookie. Do not share medical information or patient data in the chat.
4. Data processing outside the EU
When we process data outside the EU (for example via cloud services), we ensure that the processing complies with the requirements of the GDPR. We do this through contractual agreements, such as 'Standard Contractual Clauses' or other mechanisms that guarantee the protection of your data.
5. Storage of data
We will retain your data as long as necessary for the purposes for which they were collected, and in accordance with legal retention periods. These periods may vary from two to five years, depending on the specific legislation.
6. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access and other forms of unauthorized processing. This includes SSL/TLS encryption for secure data transmission and other measures such as encryption and limited access to the data. However, we cannot guarantee absolute protection against internet threats. In the event of a data breach, we will inform you as soon as possible.

Liability and indemnification
MeerMago always strives to process your data securely and provide our services as required. Although we have taken extensive measures to ensure the security and availability of our website and software, we cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the use of the website or software, including temporary outages or unavailability of the services.
Because customer reviews and ratings are processed through external parties such as Google and Trustpilot, where email addresses are often protected, responsibility for the protection of this data lies with the respective platforms. Our total liability is limited in any case to the amount you paid for the relevant service in the six months prior to the incident.
